Levi picked up the guitar while living on a sailboat when he was 16 years old. His father taught him the basics and in a matter of a few weeks, he was hooked. He studied his instrument for hours on the front deck of his family’s boat and dissected songs until he learned every chord. Levi started violin lessons at the age of 5 and gradually used knowledge learned to teach himself how to play the mandolin, ukulele, and any type of drumming. For the past 3 ½ years, he has been teaching classes out of his home to help others find the fun and joy in making music. Levi teaches in a non-traditional format, using chords, songs, and how to learn by ear, in addition to music theory and reading music.
